Unknown Aquarium Creatures
Hello guys, firstly, i wasn't sure what category to put this in, so i apologize if its in the wrong place.
I just did a water change on my tank and as i was pouring the old water down the drain i realized there was a red worm about 3/4" wriggling around in the bottom of the bucket. I wanted to inspect it further so i put it in a small white dish.
Whilst looking at it to my amazement there was another two types of creature alive in the water.
The other was another, smaller black/gray worm about half the size of the red one.
and also lots of only what i can describe as little gray grains of sand. I'm not sure what any of them are and am obviously worried about my fish.
Anybody tell me what these creatures are and what i can do about them?

Thanks in advance

Well the critters themselves are harmless, don't worry.

Have you added anything to the tank lately? (driftwood, leaves, live plants...)

I had those for a while until my fish decided they were tasty.

The red worm is probably a bloodworm, lucky you. (The larval stage of a non-biting midge)
and the other worms are probably just harmless little critters. The sand things are probably planaria.
