I have a 30 gallon tank. It has black sand and for deco has all natural rocks. The pH is 8.0 +/- .2
The water is extremely hard (although I have no proof as I don't have a test kit for that)
I already have 10 white cloud mountain minnows.
I'd really like to know if there are any hardwater bottom dwelling fish peaceful and small enough for the 30 gallon. I was thinking bristlenose pleco?
Not sure. I have a ph of 7.8, water nearly as hard as concrete (Good old San Diego tap) and my Albino Bristle does just fine. Others will have to chime in with other options. :-)
bleh I live in the high desert with tap of 126.96.36.199..... so far I have platies. guppies, and a few gouramis i just got takes careful research into which fish will do best with numbers above 8 and I am just beginning to learn, I too would be interested in what others have to say about high ph/hardness fish :)
Yah, there are alot of really cool bottom dwelling fish that I'd love to get, but they all like extremely soft water, khuli loaches are my favorites right now.
