Nearly 2 months ago I bought a 4 gallon tank for my betta, the filter that came with it was way too strong for my betta so I bought an Elite Stingray 5. I didn't realise until recently this too was strong and as my betta likes to rest on top of the filter its not suitable, I have had this filter for 2 months so I can't return it. My shrimp tank has an Aquaflow 50 filter which is for tanks sized from 0-50 Litre so I have now swapped the filters, my question is will the stingray be OK in the shrimp tank? the adjustment is focused towards the back wall and the shrimp don't swim up that high unlike my betta. Should I take it out? the tank is 2.5 gallons

Thanks :)

For tanks that small I really think that a good sponge filter is not a bad choice.
