Substrate for Sword plant
I have a sword plant in a tank with my betta and I keep having to replace it because it gets black and brown spotted and slimy. What is a good (preferably black in color) substrate for this plant?
Thank you. How long do I have to wait for the gravel to settle before I put my betta back? Does it have to be crystal clear again?
Did you get the eco? If so, did you rinse it really well before putting it into your tank??
Along with the substrate, and even more importantly, what is the light over this tank? And do you add any fertilizer (liqwuid or substrate)? Swords are heavy feeders, but without sufficient adequate light an enriched substrate will not achieve much. Give us the details of the light (type, watts, lighting duration each day) and we can help more.
