7.5gall cube or 10 gallon?
so my question is, should i do a 7.5 gallon cube or stick with my 10 gallon
pros of 7.5gall:
love the shape
in my computer room so more viewable
rimless so a cleaner look
i have to move everything from my 10 gallon
obviously a bit smaller than my 10 gallon
on my desk so salt creep would hurt the visable walls around it a bit more than normal.
pros of 10 gallon:
i dont have to change stuff around
its in my bedroom so i can watch it in peace
more surface area for a bigger rock layout
hating the shape, cant get the right rockwork
the rim really distracts me from the rest of it
not as viewable and i put a lot of money into it so i want more viewers
not as stable on a tall skinny stand as on my table
more surface area for unnecesary evaporation
If its just aesthetics, I'd go with what works best for the space and placement you have. You could just do what we all do... get em both. LOL
i cnat have both because lighting is soooo expensive. also, i got a light and filter for a fw for the 7.5 that will fit on the 10 gallon. i really want the 10 gallon fresh and the 7.5 salt but i still want more opinions.
i would go with what helps on space but if you dont really like the rim on the 10 gallon what i did to mine was decorate it with what my theme was of the tank and since your stand isnt very stable then be creative and go to furniture stores and try and find a long/short night stand or a small little dresser to set it on where you can put all of your stuff in also so you save on some spare room. What i keep in mind with my fish tank is just have fun with it but also be safe on how you do it so you wont harm the fish.
i will vote for the ten but my heart says both and a few more besides LOL
lol, i think im going to stay with the 10, and set up the 7.5 as freshwater. later on i will set up either my 30 gallon as a salt or buy another cube thats a bit bigger and use that as my next salt.
