A little help stocking tank
Okay, I've got two plecos that mind their own business, a blue powder dwarf gourami, and a dalmation molly. What are some fish I can put in with these that won't cause too much trouble with each other?

We need a little more info to be able to help. What size is your tank? And what are your hardness if you know, ph, temp ect...

Tank is 55 gallons, not sure on all the levels except ph is 7.6, always is pretty much. I usually take my water to be tested at my local pet store, by a friend of mine.

Do you know what species of pleco you have? Common plecos will outgrow a 55g tank as they can reach 18" or more. Smaller species like bristlenose, clown or rubberlip plecos would be able to stay in the tank permanently as they stay much smaller.

With your pH on the high side of 7.0, you probably have moderately hard water. In that case, livebearers would be great for your tank. More mollies, platies, swordtails, guppies, Endler's livebearers, etc.

A group of Harlequin Rasbora would look awsome in your tank. It really depends on what you want several groups of smaller fish or a few medium to large fish. Personal I would go for several small (10 or so) schools of small fish because I think the schools look awsome when they move together but really it is very much up to personal prefrence. What so you think you prefer small schools or med to large fish.

I agree with Calmwaters - schools look awesome. Black widow tetras are cool - they are big enough that they don't get eaten by bigger fish, and they school. I love that they are shaped a bit like angelfish. Platies come in gorgeous coloiurs, and don't get huge. They are hardy, too.

Really depends on what look you like.
