Attempting to stock 29 gal. Ideas?

I am going to re-stock my 29 gallon tank. I already have 3 african dwarf frogs, 1 male betta, and 2 platies. I am probably going to get 4 more platies. What else should/could I get? Going for a super colorful tank! :-D Thanks! All suggestions welcome.

What's the pH and hardness of your tap water?

I honestly don't know. We've had fish for 15+ years and have never water tested, and haven't had any problems where we've needed to.

Usually your local water board will have that information available by telephone or post on their website.

The reason I ask is that some fish prefer hard, alkaline water while others require soft, acidic water. All fish have some range of tolerance but how wide this range is depends on the species as well as the water they were born and raised in. If you've got "middle of the road" water there are a fairly large number of options, but if your water is extremely hard and basic or extremely soft and acidic, it would be better to stock your tank around your water than to fiddle with the water to suit the fish.

Okay. Thanks
