woowww!!!!

that is a beautiful plant? does it require the same lighting/fert requirements as the other rotalas??

I might need to get some of them!

My Rotala Indica closes up at night, or when it has had enough light too. :) But wow those are beautiful!

Yeap...same as this one, it close up at night, even when I on the lights, it fails to open. And in the day, when I off the lights, they still remain open....

Hi Aunt kymmie :D
haha, actually it's unusual because I use gardening fertilizer :D
Until today still I haven't figure out how much is enough, but just gut feeling :)
But for the case in the rotala, no ferting because I use potting soil as substrate, so ferting won't be that soon :D

Hello Hobo, how's the world cup goin on there?
I think you can get this kind of plant there, it's quite common, I mean it's not a new species, it's been in the trade for a long time :D

Hobo joe 06-11-2010 05:54 AM

hahaha the world cup goin crazy down here. locals are going crazy with their vuvuzelas ( a plastic kinda trumpet thing that annoys the crap out of everybody)...
I will have a look around for some of those plants. Alot has been blacklisted down here due to invasion ie: hydrilla, elodea, hornwort etc etc
