Mystery gel?
 

I was in Petco last night, when someone was getting a fish. I noticed when the clerk from Petco placed the fish in the bag, he pumped something from a big gallon sized bottle into the bag. It looked like a clear gel of some kind. Was wondering what it might be. I've been to other stores and never noticed them adding anything before.

Petsmart does this too, probably some sort of stress coat.

Yeah, that's what I figured. The bottle was plain white, so I wasn't sure.
