Glosso can grow on gravel
Here's some pics of my glosso planted using gravel as substrate...enjoy
I've made a post about the technical specs of this tank here...
Let me know what you think...cheers :D
NICE! What's your set up there (tank size lights used, ferts used co2 injection...)???
Ooops...I guess my link in the first post didn't work...I try to edit the post, but I don't seem to be able to find the edit button.....anyway here's the proper link:
Angel079, here's the specs...:D
Tank: 24" x 12" x 12" (LWH)
Tank capacity: approx 15 USgalLighting: 2 x 55watt PLL 6500K and 1 x 24watt T5 10000K
Substrate: Potting soil as the bottommost layer and gravel as topmost layer
Filtration: Resun CY-20
Cooling: Cool using pc fans
CO2: Pressurized CO2 at approx 1 bubble per sec
Yea that's what I expected to read...Glosso really is meant for high end lights which really is a shame cause that makes it not work for any of my set ups / fish.
Yeah...strong lighting is one of the major factor.
However, I've grown glosso nicely in a 11gal nano tank under 2x 15watt T8. It's not as strong as compare to this tank :D
