Nice Plants and aquarium, 1 question regarding your Banana plant, this may sound daft but how big does it grow too ? and are they really bananas ?? Thanks

Check this link, it will tell you more then I can-
Banana Plant

One thing I can tell that is wrong on that page though it gets much taller then 6" one of the floating leaves on mine is 3/4's the way up my tank.

Once those plants fill in the tank is going to look amazing. Have you considered adding a background to the tank? A black background would really make your plants stand out.

Thanks so much guys I do have to say I like it and so do the fish. I too cant wait for it to fill out, heck I already love the fact that the anacharis and banana plant already have so much growth. About 2 days ago I saw a stem coming up from the banana plant, it was already half way up the taller stem and now its at the top of the tank plus some extra. I do have alot of stuff that is still trying to adjust to the water but nothing that looks like it wont make it.

As I would like to take credit for the picks I do have to admit I only picked the Anacharis, Banana and Dwarf onion, for the rest I just sent all my setup info to Marry at sweet aquatics and she did a wonderful job picking the rest for a newbie.

I have been thinking that exact same thing! Cant say I'm a fan of any colors or pictures so have been contemplating getting the black, I think that will be the next project before I stock some gourami.

On the plus side my blue guppy just gave birth I've seen 2 fry so far but with all the plants and stuff I would image there are more hiding. On the down side I found one of my otos dead today, couple days ago I saw it had blood on the inside of the underbelly so not to sure what that was about.

Also I'm not to sure but it looks as though my red guppy will soon give birth or maybe having some complications, as she has some really heavy breathing going on that I've notice the past hour or so. Check water conditions and nothing out of the ordinary nitrates are a little high but still well under 40.

a black backing would look awsome,it really shows the colours
of the plants.
