Just some pics Some pics I've taken recently of random livestock. Happy to be done with school for 3 whole months:-). Not counting endlers I actually have two real fry. I had a number of rainbow fry, but only one made it through finals week. Which I kinda expected would happen. He got let out of his milk jug yesterday because he's finally big enough to stay in a net breeder. I also have a lone emperor tetra fry I fished out of the community tank after a major pruning. Its just about 1/2 inch now. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...1/P1150054.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...1/P1140606.jpg Two female cherry shrimp hunting for food and my big bamboo shrimp I rescued from walmart:shock:. Decided to take my chances with him, he was crazy stressed when I got him. But the LFS wanted $20 instead of $8. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...1/P1140638.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...1/P1140855.jpg Some other fishes. My male rainbow with one of his girls both wishing they could eat that worm. Those silly BN plecos I bought for some reason:-?. And a Rasbora sp. I've had for ever, I think its B. urophthalmoides or a sparrow rasbora. Cute things at under an inch full grown. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...1/P1140837.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...1/P1140954.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...1/P1140591.jpg My caecilians being their normal lazy and fat selves. One of my garras being silly. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...1/P1140863.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...1/P1140992.jpg |
great pics!!!!! thanks for sharing! |
what lovely pictures,i love to see fry,so sweet. i miss having bamboo shrimp,i think they're great. |
how big do those eel things get? the caecilians? also, that is a very pretty bamboo shrimp and BN! |
Ive read that the bamboo shrimp like to be in big groups. do you plan on getting more or did i hear wrong |
The caecilians are around 2 ft long which is their adult size. They reach this very quickly. I just plan to keep the one bamboo shrimp. I've never heard anything about them needing groups. If anything I might get some vampire shrimps if this one store about 40 min away ever gets some again. I do wonder how many large filter feeding shrimp a tank can support though. Its tank has over 50 cherry shrimp and just my panda garra group. Its molted at least twice in that tank, so it must be getting enough food so far. |
interesting thought,as to how many bamboo shrimp you could have, i guess a big factor would be the amount of food there was to be had. |
