Giving fish a timeout!
Three of my goldfish were picking on my white goldfish They were really harrassing her badly. My ten year old suggesting giving them a timeout, and we did! We moved them for two hours out of the 60 gallon tank into a bowl. When we put them back they never harrased the white fish again. It was amazing. Timeout works, even for fish!

actually i completely believe you since ive done it before myself. i took out my comet and just held him in the air for a little bit then put him back in the tank after he started attacking my ryukin goldfish. but he was very percistant so i had to get the ryukin a new tank of his own
you got lucky. Usally if there is a reason they are picking on another fish simply moving the fish out of sight for a little while wont do it. There are things that can be done but since goldfish arent territorial i dont see any of them working.
