aggressive male sword :)
well i bought my pair of swordtails 4 days ago and i was wundering is it natural behaviour for them to guard a certain place because there guarding my breeder box that has all the fry in and its my poor little honey gourami that is feeling the wrath of it all.....when eer he gets close to the box thanks :):):)
they get crushed flakes, tubifex (cubes but i crush it up) and sachets of daphnia.....i can feed them 3 times a day wensday and at the weekend but the other days im at college :):):)....cheers for advice.....anyway why is it that he only drives the gourami away...is there a reason ???...cheers
Hard to say, any other fish besides the gourami in with the swordtails?
Male swordtails ,and male mollies to lesser degree can be quite aggressive particularly with females present. Would keep an eye out for damaged fins which might indicate to me that the gourami may need new home if damage is evident.
well i think it is normal cause mine did the same thing
i have 2 swordtails
3 male guppies
1 honey gourami and
1 male platy :):):)
