Bottom feeder help wanted

I have got a 64 litre tank with 6 Malawi cichlids in it. I am looking at getting a bottom feeder for the tank and was wondering what i would be able to put in that would be able to live with the cichlids.

Not much, really. There are some species of synodontis catfish native to the African rift lakes that make good tankmates for rift lake cichlids but a 64 liter tank is pretty small. What species of cichlid do you have in there, now?

Agree with above, Synodontis Multipunctatus and or Synodontis Petricola would stand the best chance with your cichlids but would need larger tank. The Mutipunctatus can reach a little over seven inches and the Petricola would prolly push five inches.
With a 55 gal, I would opt for the Synodontis Petricola and your cichlids would also appreciate the extra room. As these cichlids mature,, I would not be surprised to see serious fighting for territory and the larger the tank, the more area for fish to establish their territory.
