i need to know the basics
 

i have never had a salt water before and am getting on already set up and have no clue what to do? help?

Getting yourself a good, up-to-date book can help too. I just recently got Saltwater Tanks for Dummies, 2nd edition, its helping me as well.

read these first then read a ton of other "new to salt water" type posts ... these will help a LOT!!!!! i am still new to salt myself but these articles and the great help here from Wake49, 1fish2fish, pasfer, DCR, and many others has been a true reef saver!!!!!

oh and be ready if you did not know already once you get into salt water you are instantly addicted LOL.. just read some of my posts....

What are your ultimate plans? Tank size? Stocking ideas? Corals?
