the evolution of bear's 29 gallon
so as you all know this is an evolution that continues and will get updated from time to time.... this adventure has been all about life..... imparticulare vast amounts of life in a small expance.... i ask only that you please do not reply to this thread until i have finished posting (i will tell you when).. this will be picture heavy and may take a few posts to complete.... thank yo for your understanding....
my journey begins.....
a hastily emptied 29 gallon tank so i could not change my mind about jumping into salt water.....
a small bit of Live rock and a monster Base rock i had to break with an Axe....
now some Live sand and a MAJOR mistake (i covered to much of my rock)...
i was getting excited things were moving along nicely... a new piece of LR and a Zoa get added as i learn to organize my reef a bit better for flow and looks....
ahhh so much to see .....
if you think you are over whelmed think how i feel looking at this beauty each day and forever finding more to look at.... oh yes there is much much more.....
looking good. all i got to say lol.
You're off to a great start! I really like your rock work. How do you have them fastened together? I can hardly wait to watch this tank evolve over time. And how nice that you are keeping us so up to date with pics! Those crab pics came out so clear and I LOVE the llittle starfish. What type of star it that? It's so little and cute. :-)
i really enjoy the rock work as well, you did a good job on it. the fish will be able to swim throughout it and at the same time it provides a nice flat surface for coral placement.
the star is an asterina.
the rock work is held together by gravity LOL no ties no glue just very careful placement...... thank you all for your comments and encouragement.....
still not feeling the whole idea of fish as of yet......
although i have gone against better advice and began to research one special fish i like and methods of breeding the food required for it.... but again IF i decide to get a fish or two it will not be for a long time to come... i think... right now i am working on learning how to make the tank thrive and researching feeding methods for the corral and inverts i intend to stock.... no i dont have a list yet as i am looking at all options carefully...
Lovde the look of your tank
