:D Hi I feed them New life spectrum pellets crushed ,plus flakes with krill, spirulina etc, the maleis the one with the lines , he and I hope a few other will turn blue with black lines a beautiful fish, the females are orange -yellow....

So if they young are they all like a yellow orange colour and only change to their real colour when they grow older? Are they all malawis?

vinniemabuna 03-15-2007 02:12 PM

Hi, yes they are born yellow -orange, the females stay that color . The males or first the dominate male starts changing at 1.5 inches or so, if you have a large enough tank the other males will color up later. , or enough hiding places . Ill post photos of my male changing ASAP. Ive seen a guy in Isreal who has a 400 gallon tank with just Ps Saulosi and he has alot of males with great color.. :P
