hi everyone. I've been looking at the Figure 8 puffers they have at my local pet store and really like them, but I was reading up on them online and it seems like they may require things I can't provide. for example, I read that figure 8 puffers are the best puffers for freshwater but that they dont really thrive unless they are in brackish water. Is this true? would it even matter though, as long as one could survive in my tank? Also I heard they are aggressive sometimes, but I only have zebra danios, do you think it would be ok? The food seems to be an issue as well, as they only eat frozen or live food, no flakes. thanks for any help you can give me

Hi Kevil,
Puffers are best kept by themselves. They can nip the fins of other fish and will possibly eat your danios. And they should be kept in brackish water conditions of course.
You may try getting a 10 gallons tank and house dwarf puffers there instead. Remember, you have to cycle the tank first.
