Hello, and welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping.

"Amazon" has a lot of possibilities. Do you want an authentic biotope of a particular river, or a more general "Amazon" geographic setup? A true biotope means that everything in the aquarium is specific to one particular river or stream, so all the fish and plants would be those that are found in that stream, along with the appropriate substrate (sand, "mud" which we replicate with brown/black gravel, rocks). A geographic is more general to the geographic region, along the lines of my 115g Amazonian riverscape and 90g flooded Amazon forest [photos are under "Aquariums" below my name on the left]; all the fish and plants come from the Amazon basin, but the aquascape is not intended to represent any single specific stream or area. This latter approach allows more freedom, with more types of plants and fish together than would occur in any single stream.

You mentioned scalare, which I assume are angelfish [Pterophyllum scalare]. These fish occur in groups and a 150 litre (40g) tank does not provide much room for a fish that attains 6 inches in length. You could however have a lovely Amazonian aquarium with other cichlids (Apistogramma and related dwarf species), characins, catfish, etc.

I hope these suggestions may give you more ideas to start.
