stocking my 28
 

Hello everyone, I just have a quick stocking question. I have a 28 gallon bowfront tank and have a Top Fin 30 Filter. On to my question, my stock is
6 Neon Tetras
3 Sailfin Mollies
3 Threadfin Rainbowfish
1 Dwarf Gourami, Hoping soon to make it a pair once the female grows a little
1 African Butterfly, The OddBall :lol:

Basically, am I overstocked, I think I might be, taking into account that I want to add another Dwarf Gourami. Soon I am upgrading to the Eheim Ecco Canister filter that is rated up to a 60 gallon tank, is this enough filtration to compensate, should I use both filters? I have a tank in cycling so if its a no its not that big of a loss, I just like my very colorful community :D

The rule for fresh water is 1 inch of fish per 1 gallon.

yes but I have heard that that rule bends very easily, for example with tetras and big girthed fish.

Your neons won't last very long. They will become butterfly food :)
