swordtail and variatus question I saw a candy swordtail at my LFS a couple days ago and I thought it was a really interesting fish. Anyways, I have been trying to find it online without any luck. Does anybody know if it goes under a different name (is it the same as a pineapple swordtail)? I was also wondering if all swordtail coloration's are in the same species or if they are separate species? Also, I was wondering if the variatus is its own species or if it is a type of platy. When I looked it up, the fish kept coming up as a variatus platy. |
I might be wrong but maybe Marigold Swordtail |
Thanks for the suggestion. I looked up the Marigold swordtail and it didn't really look like the candy swordtail I saw in the store. I'm not saying it's not the same, but the one I saw just didn't look like pictures of the Marigold swordtail I saw in the store. |
just keep your eyes open for other 1nz :):):) |
Only reseason I suggested marigold is due to the coloration can always vary based on the species. So you might want to google it and see all the colorations come up, one strain could be be the candy cane, but like i said I probably wrong lol.. I'm not that knowledgeable with swordtails. Still learning on them. If you find out what it is let me know |
