Lovely artistic aquascape, nicely done. Reminds me of a miniature Amano design.

safe to assume 3-4 WPG and CO2?
(asking since there's a bit of pearling going on.)

Thank you Byron, it is insipred by Amano to be more exact by his iwagumi designs.
Redrich there is no co2 in the tank :-), just EasyLife Profito, EasyLife EasyCarbo and JBL Ferropol 24.

Seems to be a lot of pearling if there's no CO2.

Did you just set the tank up?

Nope, the tank has been set up for about 1 week, didn't post pics as i had no plants yet.
Good light, good fert and you don't need co2 to pearl.

Totally true. Very, very few tanks run anywhere above 3 wpg unless you are getting into Salt water or nano. Sure it can be done, but with the lights we have now adays all you have made is a very high maintance tank that has a very narrow 'balance' zone. It all depends how you have things setup, lighting, ferts, CO2 just need to balance. I royally pissed off my 55gal w/ 2wpg and CO2, last to weeks has been an algae invasion even with CO2 cranked up. I have a 20gal sitting upstairs with almost 3 wpg that hasn't seen CO2 in months.... very little aglae.

Its also a nano, its easy IMO to get pearling in those... they can be a little unstable and you need more light than normal, 3 wpg is kinda average for a nano. My first attempt with a 2.5 gal and a 13 watt bulb was 100% unsuccessful, I probably set it up all wrong though. I have less than a gallon of water with a 13 watt bulb 8" off the surface that oddly is more stable and algae free than any of my tanks. It never gets so much as a water change either, why can my other tanks be like that!

Got about 4WPG
