Hey ok I have a cold water tank with 3 fantails the tank is 40 gal. One of y gold fish has a spot just like a human spot and its very visible its about the sice of a qaurter of a finger nail (only thing I could think of). The fish with the spot is fine and swimming hapily BUT.. the other gold fish is swimming very slowly and near the bottom. I have medicated the tank with 2 things swim bladder control and white spot treatent altho its not white and very big. what do I do ? Any Ideas ?

Are you saying you are already treating, if you are already treating i would advise you to stop since you dont know the exact disease.

You might want to try a mushed up pea. Be sure to remove any leftovers right away. I read that goldfish are prone to constipation and that could help. There was also an article (comedic) in Reader's Digest last month about saving a sick goldfish with peas. Worth a shot.

:D Im so happy I woke up to find all my fish including the sick one swimming hapily and eating fine. I think that green pea did the trick[/i]

Glad your fishies are better. Keep an eye on them anyway and try not to overfeed in case that was part of the problem.
