Pop Vs. Soda Vs. Coke Vs. Cola
So... A topic recently came up in a forum I visit from time to time, and it got quite a response, and it got me wondering, too.
When ordering a drink, do you ask for a Pop, Soda, Coke, Cola, or something else?
Around here, it will forever and always be "Pop". Soda will get you weird looks, coke will get you a coke, and Cola will get you a "huh?"

i believe pop came simply from the noise a soda can makes when opening it. atleast thats what makes sense to me, and where i think it would come from. seems southern states like to call it pop where as states more north call it soda. either way its soda pop.
none of use should make a habbit of drinking this stuff often anyways... it takes paint off a car.
