Help with diagnosis- have pic of sick molly.
I thought they were ich... but now I'm not so sure. Before, they had more of a spot pattern (like sugar crystals on her) but now it seems they're growing.
I gave her a potassium permegranite dip to treat the ich, and it seemed to help a LOT. Maybe some other sort of parasite?
Looks like Ich to me. If the dip helped then that must be what it is. Should'nt you remove the molly and treat it in a QT tank. I stopped keeping black mollies as they seem to get Ich alot over the other type.
Well my reasoning is, ich is so contagious and the life cycle is so long, there are probably parasites in the water that haven't formed cysts yet.
If it's not ich, I'll remove her to my 5G planted.
Also, postassium pomogranite is a strong oxidizer- It'll kill pretty much any kind of pathogen that's external. Also dangerous for the fish tho.
