MASIVE water letuce
today i went to my lfs and bought a water letuce for 2.99 now i have never seen a water letuce this big before it is about 6 inchs in diametre and my cardinals love it.
water letuce is a (invasive speices) and anyone who owns some will agree with me this stuff has already filled my 110 and my 2 10 gal and my 2 gal i started out with about a small handfull (about 8) and it just spread to thousands over 2 months.
its also very cheap and sucks the nitrites and ammonia from the water :)
Do you recommend getting me one for my 10 gallon? Would my tetras like it? Would it overgrow? Can I cut it? haha sorry for all the questions...
I would suspect it would fill in a 10 gallon in a hurry. I have frogbit and although it does not take over the tank, if I set it up for it the tank would be full of it. Any plants in the tank that require even moderate light will likely suffer if you have any. I have a lot of plants that take in a lot of nutrients before the frogbit can get going so it grows slowly.
