Burmese Border Loaches
 

Hi,

My friend recently gave me a Burmese Border loach. I took it to get rid of my snails. After doing some research I found out that they do best in groups. The problem is I only have a 10 gal tank for another month.

So my question is: do I get more loaches in this small tank or do I leave it all alone (there are few platies in the tank with it now).

Any suggestions would be great (and returning it not an option).

I wouldn't overstock your 10 just to give him company...as long as you don't see erratic behavior and he seems pretty active I wouldn't worry about it, especially if you plan on moving him to a larger tank in a month. I'm sure he doesn't mind having all the snails to himself.

What kind of tank are you getting in a month?

It depends. I am either building a 75 gal with my friend or buying a 55 gal if my friend backs out.
