angel injured/stressed? HELP

20 mins ago I - as I do every time I am around the tank - counted the fish, and there was one less than usual - my little 1 inch blushing ange; was missing. I looked and looked and looked and finally found him stuck behind the weeds in the corner.

In the beginning it looked like he was trying to get something at the bottom of the fishtank, but it turned out (or appeared) that he was stuck.

I removed the weeds but he still won't swim. His fins are moving, mouth is opening and closing, but he seems to be unable to regain the horisontal position. He ends up mouth down in a 45 degree angle position all the time.

Apparently he was stuck in the weeds for at least a half an hour.

I put him in a little hospital tank so that the water flow in the main tank wouldnt wear him out completely, took the water out of the main tank, so that he wont have to adjust to the temperature. But he still seems unable to regain normal swimming position.

I see he's trying to.

The fins however appear to be intact, though the bottom part of the back fin doesnt look like its moving.

Is it stress, is it injury?

What can be done?

PLS help.

What are the water parameters of your main tank and hospital tank?

he died :(

Thank you for your concern and desire to help.
I tool the water from my main tank to fill the hospital tank. Ph around 7.5-8, other parameters I am not sure - they don't sell test kits where I live.

Sadly, my angel died close to two hours after my post. He was struggling to regain balance but grew weaker and weaker every minute.

A healthy fish in every way till yesterday. :'(:'(:'(

Still wondering if stress could have caused this. :(
No visible injuries.
