cory catfish (continued)

to continue... (and for anyone else, thats just because im moving it from another section)

ive currently got 3 bronze and 3 albino and plan on getting one more of each and currently have them in a 10g tank with a betta fish who will be moving out as soon as my 35g tank has finished cycling then im keeping the 10g just for the cories (and raising molly fry if and when they occur since the cories are about the only fish that wont eat the fry). im also probably going to have 6 cories (maybe peppered ones though) in my bigger tank with the betta. mollies and plec once its ready because i just like that wee fish so much and perhaps try to breed them if i have any luck with this first lot. every time i change the water i put it in 2 degrees cooler (usually keep it at 25 and put new water in at 23) as ive heard this can trigger spawning but so far nobody is interested. im hopeful that once hannibal (betta) has moved out theyll be more interested.

Have you had any more luck getting them to breed? If not you might try blood worms and other meaty foods to try and "condition" them to breed.

Tubifex worms(freeze dried), new hatched brine shrimp, grindal worms, and micro worms are much better foods than blood worms. I culture my own grindal worms, white worms, brine shrimp, and microworms. A starter culture can be obtained at most worthy lfs's or you can get a starter online.

no luck whatsoever lol

i feed flake food 5 days of he week and once a week feed bloodworm and once a week feed brime shrimp. i also pop in a couple of algae wafers at night twice a week so they are getting vegetable matter bu they just arent interested. ive been told how to sex them but for the life of me i just cant tell the differences so its posisble, and now seeiming likely, that i have 6 girls or 6 boys

thanks for your help
