I was doing yard work today and look what I found!
My mom called me over because she saw something and I was like "It better not be a snake!"lol We were cleaning out one of our big gardens and my mom saw this hugeee toad. I think it's a female because she dug a hole and put her butt in it so I'm thinking she was laying eggs kind of like turtles do. We've never seen anything like this.lol  I had to take my dogs out a couple hours later and I went to see if she left but she buried herself even deeper so all I saw was her head.lol She blends in really well, I'm glad we didn't step on her! :-)

Cool! I should have taken a pic of the lizard that was in our house yesterday but I'm not real fond of creepy crawly things. lol We were finally able to get him out the door today. I'm glad he didn't die.

She's so preeeetty, in her own way! She looks stern. As in the "get off my lawn" kind of way. Lol ;)
I've had geckos live inside my house, too! A family of them. We left them alone (but gosh, they were adorable) and our bug-infestation magically went down.

I would LOVE to have geckos! We used to have salamanders but we don't anymore. I don't know what happened. :( One day last week it poured the whole day and my mom went to take out Mylo, my Corgi and there was a toad on our walkway and he walked right up to it and nosed it!haha :P

Well, hello there haha

I have no idea what she was doing. It seemed like she was laying eggs but wouldn't the babies need to be in water? I'm not a frog or toad expert.lol I googled it and it said that the males have to fertilize the eggs. Hmmm....so she was sticking her butt in the hole she made for nothing?lol So confused...

Maybe she just liked it there. If I find a nice comfy spot on the couch, there's no way I'd be moving. Lol

Lol! I have no idea. I wouldn't think she would be comfortable with her butt in a hole and her upper body on normal ground.haha :P
