Hey guys. im looking for some ideas for decoration on my 55gal cichlid tank. Are there any live plants that can live with a jack dempsey? any other ideas will work also! just no rock piles cause they get filled with poo

Big pieces of driftwood! The only plants I could keep with my JD were floating plants as he uprooted/moved around everything else.

+one. I have an eight inch Electric Blue Jack dempsey that rearranged the tank near daily. I placed large pieces of driftwood (3) and pieces of flagstone and large smooth river stones bout as big as grapefruit and this seems to suit him. Used artificial plants anchored through the holes in paving brick to hold the plants in place.
Once a week or every two weeks, I remove it all to vaccum the gravel.
