One of my female mollies is working through her 2nd birth today! She's dropped about 10 so far but I'm sure many more will follow! Last time she had about 50 I'd say. This group is all hiding safely in some floating pennywort! Sorry for the crummy pic, but it's hard to get a good angle on em!
I see see the fry! Awesome. U might want to seperate them though if you want a higher % to live. If your not looking to raise them though a few might live fine int he tank. :]
She's only had 10 or so, which seems kinda strange since last time she had at least 40. She still looks decently fat, so I'm gonna hope she has more tonight. I haven't raised the fry separate yet...last time I had 5 make it out of that 40 and that's fine with me. I'm not sure what I would do with all the fry if I did raise them! I've kept snakes and lizards for a number of years that always ate live food, so free food for my other fish is a plus in my book
Sooo the pregnant female hasn't dropped any more fry since yesterday when 9 or 10 were born. She's a sailfin molly and last time had around 40 or so. She still looks big, so I'm wondering if more will come soon?
I don't think they were all eaten since she still looks pregnant...I have tons of hiding places for them, and in the past only a few get picked off each day! I guess only time will tell
