Is THAT a tank or what?

This is way too awesome not to share http://edition.cnn.com/2009/TRAVEL/1...hot/index.html This link should bring you to snapshot page 1 of the day - Too cool IMO :-D

I wonder if they also do a weekly 40-50% w/c there

And I thought I was getting carried away getting another small tank

 I was thinking of getting the same one for my house, but hubby was afraid of the weight on the floor ;-)

Pffftt I'd not be worried about weight on the floor at all.....This tank goes from below your basement way past your attic :-)

I just find the scuba diver way too funny in there "Honey where's the diving gear I need to gravel vac" :-)

The scale of the thing makes him/her look like an aquarium ornament.

LOL. Perhaps hubby would be a little upset with the hole in the roof. Regardless, that thing is AWESOME!

I'd love one that size, but my wife would probably shoot me haha

That reminds me of one I saw in the 1980's when living in Victoria. A fellow who built tanks for a hobby (all the stores in Victoria and Vancouver sold them in those days, they were very well made) built a tank in his house. When you went in, the dining area was on the first level, then down 3-4 steps to the sunken living room. In the corner of the stairs from floor to ceiling was a circular marine tank about 6-7 feet diameter, the column of coral up the centre so the fish swam all around it within the circular tank. It went down into the basement where the mega-filtration set-up was--high lights, algae stuff, "sumps" I suppose, marine aquarists will know what all would be involved. It was quite the centrepiece of those two rooms.
