I don't know of many fish that wouldn't go well with bristlenose.....avoid other algae eaters and loaches but other than that all commmunity fish and even many of the aggressive ones wouldn't bother the bristlenose

I had one for many years with a school of cory's and schools of neon and black tetras...I prefer to stick with relatively peaceful community fish though.

I keep loaches w/ a BN and they are perfectly fine together, no problems. Also keep otos and SAEs in this same tank, everybody is living in harmony. JME...

Maybe an easy-to-breed species of dwarf cichlid, like kribensis?
