Considering buying a biorb for $20- Worth it?

I have the opportunity to buy a baby (4 gallon) biorb for $20 dollars, and I was wondering if anyone has used one before. I've heard they're overpriced, but is it worth it for $20? I'd probably just keep a betta in there.

tell him 15 if you think its 2 much

no its not worth it, unless you think the betta likes the really small surface area. And if you like how the curved sides distort the appearance of your fish.

On the other hand, Sams club sells giant cylinder containers of utz cheese balls that hold 3 gallons. IMO these make great betta tanks.

Personally,

I hate the biorbs and pretty much all tanks systems as they are extremely hard to stabalize. No less, a more balanced view on tank selection can be found here:

Essentially, the above link says that small tanks can be done, but your available stock is very small--better off with a 10-gallon from Wal-Mart for $15 (not counting equipment).

IMO,

I like the sound of giant containers. What about filtration? Heating?

I use to use those pre-set heater from walmart that advertised for 3-5gal. I did not filter the tank, simply stuck with 100% water changes weekly. If you mounted a 13 watt spiral compact or used a cheap desk lamp, you could easily get some live plants in a tank that size. You can also get the Elite mini internal filter, though it might be a bit much for a betta. IDK really, cuz my flow control went down the drain >_<
