Here are some pics of my 55 Brackish....just stocked it today. They will be moving to a 150 that is at my shop someday, but for now I want them at home. I'm weird, but I hate having fish at work, I hate that I have to leave them alone on the weekends or when I'm not working, lol. My apartment can't handle a 120 and a 150 though so for now it's empty until these guys outgrow the 55.
The tank before stocking
Luna - Green Spotted Scat
Stitch the Dragon Goby (he was in freshwater for awhile until the brackish was ready and he could be acclimated, thus the fish in the background)
Nova the Red Scat (sorry for bad pic, she isn't comfortable enough to come out of hiding yet)
Q, one of 3 Columbian Sharks (the others are Neptune and Orion)
4 figure eight puffers will be joining them soon - they will stay in this tank permanently once these guys outgrow it.
Hope you enjoy!
Hi' nice set up with your tank.I never seen those fish before.Mark
Better picture of Nova, the Red Spotted
Cosmo, Silver Scat
That goby looks pretty sweet, for some reason i always imagined brackish tank being kinda like a muddy pit kinda thing, just the idea the word "brackish" gives me.
LOL really? All brackish means really is "not quite salt water"...so there is nothing muddy or dirty about it, just not quite as much salt as a full marine. Brackish conditions in nature occur where rivers and oceans meet and the salt of the ocean mixes with the fresh water of the rivers and whatnot.
