White jelly type growth

Hi,

I just noticed there is a white jelly growth on the agreggate (only one spot). It has been there close to a week. Just added some plants to the aquarium about three days ago. The tank is still doing it's cycle but almost at the end. The diatom (sorry for the spelling)has started as some green algaes.

The tank is 10 gallons and house three Black Neon Tetras. I am just curious if i should remove this growth or let it be. The fish seems in good health. I never had snails in the tank but with the new plants we found two pin head snails on one plant.

Sorry for not adding a picture since my digital camera is not too good.

Could you help me?

Thanks

Trying to figure out what this might be. By "jelly" do you mean it is a blob of white squishy stuff? Or is it more fuzzy (which would be fungus)? Any further descriptive clarification might help us.

I'm leaning toward some type of fungus too, but pictures are worth a thousand words.
