Adding Live Rock or Sand to existing setup

Can you add additional live rock / or live sand from an aquarium store directly to an established tank that has live rock?

Just trying to understand if I can add more live rock later or do I need to make the final choice of how much at the initial tank settup time. My tank is not currently setup yet. Trying to look at my choices up front.

you can add rock later but make sure it is cured.

best way would be to add the lr rite away. if u add it later on while there are fish in the tank make sure u leave it in another tank or barrel with little to no light for 1-3 weeks until its fully cured

I've made several trips to my LFS and purchased live rock. I continue to add it to my established 55gallon with no problem.

I usually mix up a salt bucket with a power head and let it circulate for a few hours to a few days just to get some of the die off away from the surface and keep it out of your tank.

OK, it is best to get as close to your desired state up front but you can add rock later as long as it is cured.
