To Gravel or Not to Gravel?...lol...

I am Breeding my Bettas soon and need to know if I should put Gravel
on the bottom of the Tank. I dont think so seeing as they lay eggs then pick them up and put them in the Bubble nest.

Any Ideas?
Any tips on Breeding them?
Any Ideas on what to feed the fry once they are born?
Anything helps.

Why do you need gravel? I would suggest you do not try to get substrate. Simply prepare floating plants. I don't see how the bettas are going to use the substrate.

I've bred bettas in a 1g bowl with Elodea major as a floating canopy. The plant helped anchor the bubble nest.

talks about breeding them. Go with no gravel but with lots of fake plants and floating plants to lessen the stress of the betta
