Synodontis petricola (pygmy leopard catfish?)

If you've had them, tell me more!

I got six from a fish auction and they are SWEEEEEET!!!

I think they'll love my tanks, my high pH, and varied diet...I'm so excited!

Pics soon!

Awww they're cuties!! I pers hadn't had them but my breeder did and I could spent hrs watching them guys they seem to be more forthcoming and active then most other cory cats.

Awesome find, Steph!! They are super cute. I never heard of a fish auction (besides online). That's pretty darn cool!

btw i think these are called "dwarf cuckoo catfish" and not "pygmy leopard catfish". go figure...i always believe the internet : )

I had found when you have no sick signs or white spots the first 2 days you're safe after that. Generally they float is something is way wrong within the first 24hrs of transport.

oh i'm glad you said this. actually i was worried about one of them, just sitting in the corner by itself under the filter current. this was, like, the day after i got them (sunday night?) so i checked nitrates (20ppm! record for my tank) so i did a wc and by the next morning they were all 'normal'. today they actually came out to eat!!! now THAT is something to celebrate : ) they just look so tiny and fragile, and freakin' cute!

They are adorable! I just got back from my favorite LFS (an hour's drive from my house) and they had a tank of these. Really hard not to come home with some. Very cute!!
