can you tell the sex of my rams?

I thought the store had given me a mated pair but now I'm not so sure. They don't swim together, a few times I've seen them do what I assumed to be a mating dance but now I wonder if they were squaring off... http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/m...134129-121786/

First one looks male. Second one looks female, it's rounder with less of a poof on the tip of the dorsal. However it can be hard to tell since both sexes can actually have the poofed dorsal tip(you know the strands that stick up further at the front tip), so you may have two males. The first one looks male though, it's the second one I'm not positive on.

Stores often mess up on "Mated pairs" though, mine tried to sell me two male German blues saying they were a "FOR SURE" mated pair, thankfully with THOSE I can tell the difference much easier and told them as much, asking how two males got eggs together. lol With these I'm a little...more eh.

Check some videos on youtube if you don't get any for sure answers, often you can find some showing you all the differences to look for.
