Yo-yo loach

I planning for the future... How big do Yo-yos really get? I was told 6 inches at the pet store, but I have seen documented 3, 4, 6, and 8 inches...
I have a single and he has gotten over being alone so I think I'm going to leave it at that but I hope to ask Santa for a larger tank and want to see where I need to go as I've come to be very attached to him. Right now he is just under Platy length. I'm thinking I probably will get a 55gal. We live in an old farm house so I'm not sure without reinforcement the floors will handle a 75gal.

My seven are approximately 5" to 6" and I believe are full grown.

True.:) They are classified as semi-aggressive and have a tendency to eat smaller fish and plants if given the opportunity to do so.
