Why must you ask such a difficult question? LOL ;-)

Hmmm, I love the Corkscrew Vals and so do my fish! They really love swimming all through them and poking at them. My banana plants are a cute addition and something a little different. The leaves will eventaully reach the surface and almost look like lilly pads. I also love my red rubin sword. It is a very, very deep red. I guess I wasn't much help for my favorite..haha. I just uploaded up pictures to my thread "Lisa's non-planted to planted conversion" and also created an Aquarium Log. you can check out pictures of them there.

I like my leopard Vals...my fish also enjoy swimming through them....I have 6 in my 55G right now in the corner, next order, I'm going to order about 4 or 5 more.

I gotta say as 'cliche' as it may sounds I really love the size and color of my Amazon Swords....they're just awesome.!

LisaC144 03-03-2010 10:48 AM

Yes, Amazon Swords are nice too. They are a nice bright green. Brings lots of nice color to the tank and once daughter plants start to show roots, you can simply snip them and replant them in the substrate. A very easy plant to propogate and care for.

Lisa I am disappointed with your post there LOL

RED TIGER LOTUS if I have to pick 1 only then its that one :-)

I would have to say my favorite is the Anubias Coffeefolia. http://www.sweetaquatics.com/index.p...roducts_id=338
Followed closely by the Echinodorus Ozelot 'Green' http://www.sweetaquatics.com/index.p...roducts_id=358
The pic of the Ozelot doesn't do it justice. Mine has red spots all over the leaves. It's an absolutely beautiful plant. And it's sprouting baby leaves.
The Red Rubin is also very very nice with its red color. http://www.sweetaquatics.com/index.p...roducts_id=359

I like java fern too...

but if I was going to reccomend something to buy, I'd say corkscrew val.

(ordered some with my order- only .80 ea!)

I just went through and bought their cheapest things....
The only other thing I ordered was Mexican Oak leaf.
I think after my plants come in it will be my favorite...

it's a pretty plant, and easy to grow.

YIKES! You're right Nataile! Red Tiger Lotus too. I think it didn't come to mind right away because mine is very small right now and sort of blends in to the gravel. When it grows it will be quite beautiful though! Oh geez! There's too many to choose from! :dunno:

I would have to say my favorite aquatic plant is Utricularia vulgaris, or the Common Bladderwort. It has a similar structure to a milfoil at first glance, but it's an aquatic carnivorous plant :-D

I don't think sweet aquatics carries it, but if anyone does know where to find it be sure to let me know! I really only ever see it in the wild and I am unsure if it would even grow in an aquarium setting but it would be sweet if it did!

Oh yeah and it also has a great looking yellow emergent flower!
