Looking for a catfish for later

So as some of you may know I am starting a marine aquarium...but that is not the focus of this thread. What I will have after I finish the tank is a quarantine tank of 10-20 gallons and I want to flood it with vals and Java moss and I what I plan to do is put it ON PURPOSE and custom build a slide that will slide up and down so the plants will grow faster(I have found since my 20 gallon community is on he opposite side of the of my room and they grow faster then the Betta's tank) I would slide it up when I wake up(6 A.M.) and at 2:00-2:30 shut it and keep the light on top on until around 6 P.M. I want a catfish that can go in while fairly new but I would seed some sand from my 20 gallon in to shorten the cycle. I looked around the fish profiles and could really find any catfish that would fit. Any AT ALL suggestions appreciated would love an algea eater since there might be an outbreak but Doesn't matter.

:thankyou:
,John

It is cool but it kind of has to be tolerant since it might end up being the only fish or "starter" fish

It sounds like you're going to have the tank filled with plants from the get go? If so, I'd think you'd be fine with a bristlenose. Lots of plants hasten, even eliminate, the cycling process. I have an albino bristlenose and he is one very cool fish. Plecos love to chew on driftwood (certain plecos actually require it as part of their diet to aid in digestion) so if you go with a BN a piece of driftwood would be appreciated by him/her.
