Where to purchase large aquarium

I am looking to purchase a 15-175 gallon aquarium...but I'm having a hard time finding a website that doesn't have crazy prices. Petsmart has a 120 and a 150, but I wanted to look at some other options first. Does anyone know of an aquarium website that has good prices that I can check out?

Have you ever considered looking at used one's? Whatever local places you have for people selling used stuff like craiglist you always find a LOT people that tested & failed on large tanks. At least here in TN you'd have no issue whatsoever to find a tank that sized used with all the bow wow to it pretty cheap.

I'm guessing you mean a 150 -175? 15-175 is quite the range lol
Getting glass tanks shipped to you can be difficult as they are fragile. Acrylic tanks can be bought online and shipped.
If you are going glass I would suggest staying with "big" names in the industry such as Aqueon (which is formerly All Glass)

craiglist. deals on their are amazing!

Lol yes 150-175 is what I meant!

I live in a small city in North Dakota...don't have the advantage of craigslist...very few people use it around here and the cities are too spread out to make looking in bigger cities feasible. I've had an ad up for awhile and no bites. Found a 125 but its 6 hours away.

Finding smaller tanks on our limited classifieds is easy but there are just not many big tank folks around here. No clubs or anything like that. 55's are considered 'huge'.

Acrylic is fine....I'm just not having much luck finding a decently priced one. I will likely end up with the 150 extra tall from petsmart but thought I would see if anyone else had any sites they have bought from.

How about Fargo, I goggled and came up with this:

Large Fish Aquariums and Related Fish Tank Accessories | PetSmart

Our local Petsmart has carried larger aquariums than you will see in the above list, some quite large ones. Maybe they could order one in for you.

Like I said, that is likely the tank I will be purchasing (from petsmart) but I wanted to look at other options as well. Also having some problems with the local petsmarts...the one closest to me (Bismarck) claims they cannot order the 150 gallon even though when we called the main customer service line they said the local managers should be able to order it. The manager of the fargo store said it couldnt be ordered as well. So we are trying to straighten that out...in the mean time, I'm looking for other options :)

That is weird, here is a link to our local Petsmart in North Vancouver in British Columbia, and the tank is shipped from the states; I'd keep pestering them:

I plan to...it doesn't make any sense. If they can ship the 120, why not the 150? Even the manager at the fargo store said it was "weird" but didn't have any other answer...so we will keep pestering. I'd really much rather have the 150.

I'd be tempted to do the 120g long at Petsmart if floor space isn't an issue. It doesn't look as tall as the 150 tall. That height, nah I don't think I would do personally. But that's if it was me. And the 120g long is cheaper ;)
