Goldfish spawned! This isn't the first time my some of my fish have bred, so I know what I need to do. I just wanted to share with everyone! There are about 800 oranda/ryukin fry. |
Congrats! Any pictures to share? This take place in an aquarium or pond? Wow,thats a lot of fry! |
grats, i'd be worried if my comet's started breeding... lol I'd just give them to the pet store. |
It happened in my 90 gallon. All the fry are in a ten gallon. Just started really swimming today. |
pictures, we want pictures! :-) |
Not all fry are expected to survive. Expect culling several of the resulting fry. Most are deformed and some remain stunted which is to be expected considering the large number of fry you have. Those ones will need to be culled unfortunately. It is up to you though. It is better to have a few fry that have potentials of reaching adulthood properly than to try keeping alive all the fry and risk having a majority stunted due to tight space, foods, etc. Congrats! |
My dad decided to feed them for me one day while I was at school. He added so much food they all died. I tried to save them. |
that sucks:( |
