Pistia(water lettuce) submerged?
I know it pretty much sounds dumb BUT i have been playing around with this idea of keeping some pistia rooted in the substrate. I know it's a floating plant BUT does anyone have any feedback about it growing fully submerged? It would look pretty cool as a carpet and perfect to cover some of the front of the tank.
Any ideas are more than appreciated.
It looks similiar and will grow submerged. Be careful, because floating water lettuce is also called water cabbage but will not work submerged. Make sure it's samolus.
Also, I've looked everywhere for somewhere selling this, and I can't even find a picture on the internet. Good luck finding it. It would be exactly what you're looking for though, I remember seing it in a book. :-/
-edit- I found a pic
