So my snail died the other day.
It certainly did a lot of floating at the end... then it sank. It was my first snail so I didn't know how to tell what they do when sick/dieing. Heck, I don't even know if it was sick.
The point of my thread:
The shell is completely empty. What happened to the snail's body? It was never harassed by the fish so I don't imagine they ate it.
Did it just.... dissolve into nothingness?
Yea, they start to rot away. If the fish have not ate it, you may still be able to find the body somewhere in the tank. What type of snail was it?
I think it was a mystery snail. It was pretty boring. Ha. He never moved much during the day.
It must have rotted pretty quickly, because yesterday it was intact in the shell.
They do rot fast. Within hours after passing away, they start to smell horrid.
