question ????

hey i wanna put a little penny size electric jd in tank with 2 tetras and 2 rainbows just to he grows bigger will it work or will the litle electric jd kill or attack them

i lost my little electric blue jd :( poor guy. but he was growing out in my 29 at the time with some swords. to be honest id be more worried about the tetras nipping at him, but he wouldnt be a holy terror i dont think. just keep an aye on him and make sure hes got somewhere to hide :)

Electric blue dempseys are very sensative as youngsters and need to be kept in pristine condition with docile tankmates. if the tetras aren't an aggresive species they should be fine until the dempsey gets big anyway.

i personally wouldnt get an electric JD that small just for the simple fact that they are VERY immune compromised at any size less then 2-3"...even mine at 4 inches had some problems in the beginning
